I don't know why this place only has two stars. On Thursday nights you can get $3 Malort, which is the finest liquor in all of Chicago! Add to that $1-2 draft beer and a "roll the dice" shot where every dice roll is a different type of alcohol. They have darts too.

Was it classy? Does the previous paragraph sound like it would be? It was definitely divey but it did not claim to be anything otherwise, so it fit my expectations and the alcohol was good. The bathrooms were kind of gross though. I default to a quote from professional chef Charles P Thompson: "judge a place by how they are advertised, not your own expectations". For that, I give 4 stars.

My lovely friend and I wound up around Halsted and Armitage on a Friday evening after attending a cultural event in the area. Culture is cool, but now it was time to find something to eat. We stumbled into The Beaumont and were pleased to see that the place was not loud and not crowded. I guess we came in during a slow time for them, as apparently it is bonkers busy once you cross over to late night hours.

The Beaumont has a few daily specials that seemed astonishing (50 cent wings on four days of the week? Dollar beers on Thursdays?). We wound up trying the half-price pizza which is the Friday special. The thin crust pizza with sausage and mushroom was not bad at all, with a pleasing crispiness throughout. Even though the toppings were an added cost, our tab for the pizza, cheese fries and two Lagunitas beers amounted to only $20. The place was practically empty at 9PM on this particular Friday, so our bartender was quite attentive and helpful.

Went there for some drinks with the boys on a Thursday they had $1 bottles and a dj as well as a dance floor. The bartender Andy was amazing ! Excellent speedy service and good conversation. Great overall experience, such good vibes

Establishment was not open when it clearly stated on every website and phone answering service it was supposed to open before we arrived. Bartender with cowboy hat shouted, cursed, and called potential patron "inept" when they were only trying to see if this establishment was open. If I were the manager I would want to know if several patrons were deterred from visiting my business due to this type of behavior by an employee.

This is a nice dive bar open til 5am on weekends with a college crowd and a dance club in back. My husband and I came early not knowing what this place was and we are and drank for $50 all night... insanely cheap and the bartender Jimmy was super cool.  Great people watching and a fun place. Their food was actually good too!
